- From the Executive Director: Every pregnancy journey is unique—so this summer we launched our Wellness Care Journey, a practical roadmap that walks alongside women from their first contact with AWC through pregnancy, birth, and beyond, connecting each woman with the right care, resources, and relationships at the right time.
- Growing Our Team: To make sure women have knowledgeable support and compassionate medical care at every stage, we welcomed three new staff members: Miguelina Dalton, MA, LCSW (a Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker), Monica VanPelt, RN, BSN (Level III NICU experience), and Julianna Norris, RN, BSN (Labor and Delivery experience).
- Client Story – A Baby Shower She Never Had: When a Water Street social worker called on behalf of a young mother facing homelessness and due in just over a week, our team packed a full layette bag of brand-new baby essentials. Opening it at the hospital, she called it “her own private baby shower that she didn’t get to have.”
