Patient Medical Services:
▪ Oversees medical testing and provides nursing care; assessing patient needs and
makes nursing judgments that reflect safe nursing practices.
▪ Ensures accurate implementation of physician’s orders.
▪ Provides education for patient to develop an understanding of their health condition.
▪ Refers patients for medical need.
▪ Maintains medical supplies, accurate patient medical records and pro-life medical
referrals.
▪ Ensures the ministry upholds patient privacy per applicable laws and regulations.
▪ Collaborates with Medical Services Director as necessary.
▪ Works with team to offer STI testing, education and reporting to our patients.
Collaborative Care and Team Coordination
▪ Implements physician’s orders accurately and advises physician(s) of patient progress
and changes in condition as applicable.
▪ Refers patients for additional medical needs as directed by the Medical Services
Team.
▪ Maintains accurate patient medical records and medical referrals.
▪ Protects patient privacy in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and center
policies.
▪ Collaborates with physicians, nurses, sonographers, advocates, and support staff to
deliver comprehensive, family-centered pregnancy care.
▪ Participates in care team collaboration to discuss plans of care, patient progress, and
strategies for holistic support.
Documentation
▪ Maintains accurate, confidential, and timely medical records for all patient
encounters.
▪ Documents clinical assessments and follow-up care in accordance with center
policies.
Professional Development and Compliance
▪ Stays current with best practices and clinical guidelines related to pregnancy care.
▪ Participates in professional development activities that strengthen clinical support
skills, including continuing education requirements and license renewal requirements.
▪ Assists in creating, updating, and maintaining compliance with center policies,
AAAHC standards, and state regulations while upholding the center’s life-affirming
and faith-centered values.
▪ Models ethical behavior and demonstrates a commitment to the dignity and sanctity of life in all professional interactions.

✓ Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and refrains from referring or advising a patient to have an abortion.

Educational Requirements
• Maintains a current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Maintains CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Applies experience in women’s health, obstetrics, or medical clinic settings.
• Demonstrates strong skills in clinical nursing procedures, patient communication, and
electronic health record documentation.
• Collaborates effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while upholding patient
confidentiality and safety standards.
